Lisa's Bio

I am the child my parents were told they could never have. Rule number one for dream achievement? Don't listen to the critics.

I was always fascinated by the deeper questions of life and, at seventeen, discovered my spiritual identity in the writings of Baha'u'llah.

Keen to learn about the world and its peoples, I graduated with a degree in International Relations from the University of Toronto. After teaching cross-cultural communication and mediation skills in corporate Germany, I realized that, ultimately, all the battles of life are fought within the individual. I returned to Canada to earn my Diploma in Counselling from Nova Scotia Community College and am currently pursuing a path of service in hospice care in Comox, BC.

My husband is an air force pilot and we have two children, now ten and seven. Five provinces later we are happy to call Vancouver Island home.
